Dear Valued N-Crew Customers

As all of you should be aware, Navblue has made the decision to transition all N-Crew Product customers from RHEL6 servers to RHEL8 Servers.

All customers need to be on the 23.5 Release version on the RHEL6 servers which they currently have for this transition to be executed.  We are in the process of completing a 23.6 RHEL8 Release which will have the functional scope equivalent to their current RHEL6 23.5 UAT.  All features and fixes will be the same in both releases.  This combination is important for the transition of data from one server to the other.

Navblue will advise you when we have a RHEL8 UAT server with the Release 23.6 available for you so that you can perform any testing you would like.

Once your testing  is completed, a PROD/DR cut-over to RHEL8 server with the 23.6 release is to be scheduled with the customer.RHEL8 PROD/DR cutover process will follow these steps:=

  1. Update RHEL6 PROD/DR to 23.5,

  2. Copy data over from RHEL6 PROD/DR to RHEL8 PROD/DR

  3. RHEL8 PROD/DR becomes the master, RHEL6 PROD/DR is turned off.

The RHEL8 migration schedule is specific for dedicated hosted customers.

Customers on the shared environment will receive notification when their server change will happen for them.

Regards,
Navblue RHEL8 Transition Team
